Design & Story
In 1949, Poul Henningsen designed one of his most special models, a rotating lamp for Tivoli in Copenhagen.
Poul Henningsen says, “When I was given the task of creating new lighting around Tivoli Lake, it struck me that a slowly rotating spiral lamp would give a discreet and fine effect. Discretion is important because too much rotation will give the impression of being drunk...”
